The power of Branding
by Arlana Tanner - Sibelle on 02/04/12
We
hear it everywhere. Branding. It's the new catch phrase. So, how does it
resonate with you? Does it affect you? If you interact with other people, then
the answer is YES!
Think about the people you work with, hang out with. If you had only one
word to describe them, then that is how they have branded themselves in your
mind. Powerful, yes. Beyond the first impression, lies the image that others
hold of you, etched indelibly into their mind. And, just as how our physical
image is a small part of our overall image, what people remember about you is
more about what you do, and how you present yourself.
Confident, honest, trustworthy, Knowledgeable...how do people remember you?
What can you do to create a "brand" for yourself? Stay tuned

How are you wired?
by Arlana Tanner - Sibelle on 07/15/11
Interesting to think about how we talk about change and acceptance of change, but do we know and accept how we are hard wired? We talk about programming and how we can "re-program" our thoughts and outcomes, but do we understand how our wiring works?
We are learning that acceptance of who we are is vital to the way we learn and the way we operate. Yes, we can modify and change how we relate to each other, how we run our business, but we still have to work in alignment to our basic "true" selves.
If you aren’t working true to who you are and your inner instincts, things won't work as well, it just won't feel right. How many times have you heard the words, followed the prescription and still, the program isn't getting you the desired results? Whether it's weight loss, business planning or finding the "right" partner, we can read and make all the right moves, but still not see the desired results.
It comes down to 3 things...
1. Are we aligned with our "true" essence? Are we working from the place of connection to our beliefs and honouring it.
2. Do we love and accept who we are in every way. Can you look in the mirror and say. "I love you, I really love everything about you"?
The third is a combination of the above, and comes easily if the first two are in place...
3. Is our goal aligned with our true essence. Every goal is attainable, but where is it coming from, and do you feel you are worthy and deserving of it? Make the connection from your inner being, accept it as though it is already part of your being.
Do you struggle to align with your inner self? Do you recognise what you need to do to find that place? If you would like guidance and support on your journey, there is help. You can move from being stuck, to really seeing your dreams manifest into reality. You are not alone, nor do you need to struggle to make things happen.
We all thrive and grow best with the support and guidance of others. This world of internet can increase our reach, but restrict our contact. Reach out and get reconnected.

Do you want to inspire confidence in yourself and in what others remember about you? Try these empowering tips and watch your self-confidence soar!
1. Be a good listener. Whether in person or on the phone, people will feel more comfortable with someone who truly listens.
2. Be sincere. Everyone appreciates someone who takes time to understand their needs and will give them sincere advice.
3. Smile and look’em in the eye when you are engaged in conversation. There is a sincerity that is only seen through the eyes.
4. Repeat a person’s name back to them when you are introduced. It will help you to remember it, and everyone likes to hear the sound of someone saying their name.
5. Spend time with positive people! Surround yourself with people you admire and are supportive of you and your ideals. You can raise your personal vibration by hanging out with positive, inspirational people.
6. Keep a Gratitude journal. Acknowledging the good things in your life will keep you spirits high, and your heart full.
7. Share your gifts. Recognise and share your unique and innate talents. When you give unconditionally, things will come back you 10 fold.
part two

Yes! Because, there is no gap in time between what is and what you want. You become that whole and complete person that you aspire to be in the NOW. When you connect to your inner self, then that vision of who you want to be, is already there. Once you recognise that, you can connect and live it. Live as though you are already happy, successful and wealthy! I learned to start each day in the now of the life I aspire to, from an example set by a local minister. Each morning before getting out of bed, she says “ I am happy, healthy, wealthy and wise” She states it, and live it everyday.
So, you are still learning about who you want to be? You can still live your journey in the present. Each day, be aware of each stage of your journey and truely live and experience it. It is a journey to discover and reconnect to that innermost part of your being. Learning and growing is what makes us living beings. What more is there to do or be when we stop learning and growing?
What are you holding onto that is stopping you from making that connection? What preconceptions are you attaching to your life? Are you ready to release that old way of thinking and live in the present? I listened to a meditation the other day that walked me through the breaking down of barriers and self imposed blockages. Some of these are so old that we don’t even know they are there. The good news is that we don’t have to know! We can release and let go of all energies that are standing in our way. Whether we can name them or not.
Happiness and success are your birthright! Take it fully. Accept it in your heart and spirit. Similar expressions have come from powerful leaders such as: “when I let go of what I am, I become what I might be” Lao Tzu. We create our own boundaries, and we can break them too!

Personal Development Tip 101
This seems like the ultimate statement and the perfect place to start this whole topic. With all the talk of “live life in the moment”, it can seem confusing to talk about dreams and aspirations. I mean, how can you be aware of each thing you are doing, like how my fingers feel on the keyboard as I type this, the passion that I feel about sharing such powerful information, and yet be moving towards the changes I want to be in my own life. Seems like two different trains of thought.
What can also be confusing, is that; Who you want to be, is already a part of who you are. If you feel out of sorts, and off track, it is because you are. Getting back on track is to realign yourself with your true essence. This connection is made by searching your heart and moving towards that “feeling” of completeness. So how do you achieve that while living in the moment? Can they coexist?

Color my world
by Arlana Tanner - Sibelle on 05/21/10
Color in our wardrobe doesn’t only affect how we feel and perceive ourselves, but how others perceive us as well. Not all color associations are positive, nor are they necessarily appropriate for the image we want to portray. Following is a list of some color associations we often have.
Red = daring, sexy, love, passion, power, anger
Pink = soft, feminine, romantic, affection
Orange = creative, fun, confidence, sporty
Yellow = joy, clarity, fresh, optimism, open minded
Green = growth, comfort, strength, abundance
Blue = calm, peace, authority, open communication
Navy = commanding, serene, quiet authority
Purple = spiritual, truth, creativity, transformation, royalty
White = pure, clean, new life
Black = powerful, elegant, death
This is merely an introduction to the influence that color has in our daily lives. Experiment with different colors, notice how they look on you and how they make you feel. Learn what colors suit you the best, and make the most of them in your wardrobe, and in your life.Wholistic care for the whole of you
by Arlana Tanner - Sibelle on 05/19/10
Remember Everyone understands that your teeth need daily care. The thought of cavities and bad breathe is enough to inspire the laziest person to brush at least once in a while. Then there’s the dreaded trip to the dentist. Just thinking about the sounds and smells at the dentist’s office, makes me want to spend a few extra minutes each day at the bathroom sink. So we have a lot of inspiration and therefore dedication, to keep our teeth clean and healthy, after all, we want our teeth to last an entire lifetime.
We have some understanding that proper nutrition and exercise will aid in everything from a healthier heart to improving our ability to heal. It can help us to lead a longer more productive life. This generations movement to live healthier lives proves that our attitudes about taking care of our bodies can change. For the most part, in our culture, we are a “fix it once it’s broke” mentality. Prevention is finally becoming an acceptable plan.
For some reason, there has always been this unseen barrier between wanting to take care of yourself and being vain. Who decides when you’ve taken it too far? In our society it seems that most people fall into one of two categories. Either you look great and are considered vain, or you let yourself get worn down to the point that you look like you’ve earned the life you live. Isn’t it time to love yourself completely, not just to accept yourself, but to do what it takes to be healthy?
Learning to listen to your body is important, and is taking some preventative measures. It should be more than acceptable, it should be considered essential!
Think about this, your house can last for years if it’s taken care of. It’s better to do some “as needed” maintenance, than it would be to wait until it has structural damage and then try to repair it. The integrity of the wood deteriorates with time, but proper regular maintenance will add years to it’s life.2010 string of beads
by Arlana Tanner - Sibelle on 05/03/10
It was an interesting night. Restless and short. I woke up with the desire to rewind my visions. As I pulled at my memory, I saw a beautiful beaded curtain gently moving in a breeze. Each strand independant and unique. I reached out to gently run my hands across the strands. As I did, each strand released, and beads fell and rolled across the floor. I was not upset, but in wonderment, for as the beads fell away, it revealed an even more beautiful doorway and view that was obscured previously by the beads.
2010 had promised to be a year of amazing promise and good, yet I have seen many things in my life that have been far from what I would call obvious good and forward movement. I relate the beads to the projects and concerns that I have created in my life. Each strand is something beautiful that I put up. As I let them fall away, a new view and life is revealed. I am realizing that the more I open up, the more I am letting go.
The path can be uncertain, but I am learning to embrace change, and taking each day as I have the stregnth and the vision to do so. Sometimes it's a day at a time, sometimes it's minute to minute. I am grateful for my family and friends and this beautiful life in part and in it's entirety.
